Dr Paul belongs to two professions – medicine and dentistry, and is an independently registered specialist in each.

Dr Paul obtained his primary dental degree at Sydney University. He also acquired primary medical and surgical degrees at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Following advanced surgical training in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK, he obtained a Master’s Degree as well as two specialty fellowships in maxillofacial surgery.

In addition to maintaining specialist surgical practices in both Newcastle and Sydney, Dr Paul was previously an aviation medical examiner for both CASA and the Royal Australian Navy. He was also a commissioned naval officer (Lt.Commander) serving as a navy trauma surgeon. Dr Paul maintains an appointment as advisor to the Department of Health (Commonwealth of Australia).
